Black Dot Office

Black Dot bought this space as an empty shell with concrete floors and brick walls to house their new Sydney office. The building was heritage listed which placed architectural constraints on the design, so it had to be designed with the existing building in the forefront. The architects on the project designed a versatile workspace with open plan and modular spaces.

Mi Designer was employed to create the concept and aesthetic for the space. The client was open-minded which allowed for a broad range of ideas to be put forward. The concept references the global scope of the company with offices in London, New York and China. Each pod is a reflection of one of the other offices linking the entities of the company together to create a holistic international vibe. All selected furniture, finishes and fixtures reinforce this concept.
