Julia Esbrolio | Interior Designer
With a Bachelor of Architecture under her belt, Julia is a detail-oriented designer who always knew her life would follow a creative path. She was hands-on as a child, constantly making things and collecting inspiration. Fast forward to today and Julia is an experienced design professional who hasn’t lost that sense of curiosity.
“I am always touching things to see how they are made, and even when I look at an image I can’t help but think about how it was constructed,” says Julia. She believes that quality materials and solid construction are key to any successful project. “I want to know things are going to last,” she says.
In addition to her innate creative flair, Julia’s experience in drafting, designing joinery and her advanced knowledge of Autocad and Sketchup Pro make her an astute and nimble designer. She studied at the University of Santa Catarina in Brazil, took part in an architecture student exchange program in Portugal, and believes in continual training to keep her skills sharp and relevant. In Brazil, she worked for CK Architects and LFG Architecture. Julia moved to Australia in 2019 and worked at Verve Inspirations and EPK Architectural Joinery before settling into the Mi Designer team in 2020.
Julia’s love of coastal-inspired design ties back to her sun-soaked childhood by the beach in Brazil. Her affinity for light, bright spaces and natural textures reflects a quintessential Australian style that Julia has come to love. “It’s timeless and feels easy and bright. Like a never-ending vacation!” she says.
- Pinterest isn’t just a tool for work- it’s the way Julia relaxes. ‘Pinterest is my hobby,’ she laughs.
