Mi Designer is a Sydney based design firm specialising in Interior Design, Property Styling and Pre sale Makeovers. We provide a personalised experience for our clients based upon their specific property requirements.
Our team of creative professionals understand that a new build, renovation or property sale can be a daunting experience, so our focus is to guide you smoothly through the process to provide an enjoyable journey from initial consultation to completion. We have a passion for designing and space planning kitchens, bathrooms and dressing rooms.
When it comes to kitchen design both Sarah and Lucy love the spatial planning, working out the best layout for your individual use and finding a location for everything from the Thermomix to the cocktail shaker. You’ll have more space and be more organised in your new kitchen you will wonder why you didn’t make the upgrade sooner.
Sarah our founder loves creating master-suites, approaching each project as an opportunity to provide a retreat for her clients…a space that is uniquely their own, a haven to diffuse after a busy day. We work collaboratively through every step of the process to provide a polished result that suits your family and budget. Our ideal clients are dedicated professionals looking for a turn-key bespoke design solution and to create a home to enhance and uplift their lifestyle and home life. Although we are based in Sydney we work nationally and state wide. We’ve had great fun and thrived on projects from as far north as the Northern Territory, to the neighbouring suburbs of Greenwich. We are always open to discuss projects that might take us interstate or overseas.
We have renovated a couple of boutique lodges in Potts Point and Randwick and really enjoyed the hospitality space, we are being asked more and more to provide advice on Airbnb properties and so this has become another feather in our bow – we love thinking about the end user, the guests and how to uplift their stay with easy and cost effective conveniences – its the small details that have the biggest impact and get the good reviews flowing.
One of our current projects is a stunning architecturally designed holiday home spread over two levels perched on the hill over looking the spectacular ocean views at Nambucca Heads on NSW north coast. We love the site visits to this beachside hamlet. Keep an eye out for images on Instagram as we compete the project. Our current wish list of projects are an alpine lodge, a day spa and small resort. Meet the Team
A complimentary phone call with the purpose of helping you decide if Mi Designer Styling is the best fit for you. This will include a briefing on who we are, as well as you giving us a briefing on your project.
90mins* $450 (inc gst)
(as a guide our initial consults would cover some of the following areas)
- Introduction to Mi Designer and our process
- Meet face to face for project/client/designer chemistry check
- Review and assessment of lifestyle needs
- Work out your design style & personality
- Assessment of furniture and pieces to work with – whats stays, what goes
- Run through samples provided by designer for likes and loves.
- Possible discussion around furniture pieces and best use of them
- Discussion around budget and timeline
- Site measurement if time and if required.
Additional time, reports or quotations completed outside of 90min consult are subject to fees and charges – please refer to the T & C for further details.
90mins goes quickly and there is often a lot to get through, if you are conscious of not exceeding the 90mins and additional charges please advise your designer prior to start of appointment so they can stay within your perimeters.
You will receive a Design Concept report for each room/area – delivered in person & via soft copy.
The Design Concept report will include:
- Design Concept – Inspirational images of styles & finishes for the room.
- Images of inspirational furniture, storage solutions, joinery, lighting treatments, flooring treatments, decorative elements and colour ways.
- Hand Drawn or Revit (CAD) floor plan and or furniture layout
- Shared Pinterest or Houzz page created by Mi Designer so you can add ideas and communicate
- Initial works estimate; provided with budget
Final selection and approval of Fixtures, Fittings and floor plans.
Project management / Onsite and workroom meetings with suppliers, architects, builders and tradesmen.
Budget – purchasing schedule & supplier details & lead times.
Procurement & Installation
Furniture purchased wholesale attracts MDS Procurement fee, which still equates to between 30 – 50% less than RRP.
Items purchased at retail can be subject to a small procurement fee.
MDS manages all supplier invoicing, payments & delivery instructions
